Amy Murchison
Director of Operations
Amy serves as the Director of Operations at the Aroostook County Action Program, where she supports agency-wide efforts to advance ACAP’s mission and strengthen services for individuals and families throughout Aroostook County. A graduate of the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Amy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2001 and has dedicated her career to helping children, families, and communities thrive.
Amy joined ACAP in 2014 as an Early Head Start Home Visitor. She later advanced through several leadership roles within the Early Care and Education program, providing oversight of program implementation and supporting high‑quality service delivery before stepping into her current position. In 2021, she earned her Certified Community Action Professional (CCAP) credential, and in 2019 became a certified trainer in Family Centered Coaching—further expanding her commitment to strengthening whole-family approaches.
Before joining ACAP, Amy worked in children’s mental health services and coordinated supports for young children with developmental delays and disabilities. She brings to her role a deep passion for empowering families, a strong grounding in early childhood and family support systems, and a collaborative spirit that aligns with ACAP’s focus on community advancement.
